How much downtime should we expect during migration?
Downtime is usually measured in minutes, not days. We migrate in phases and always test rollback in advance. Final cutover is scheduled off-hours to minimize user impact.

What if an app we use isn’t available in Cloud?
Every app goes through an audit and is tagged Keep, Replace, Rebuild, or Retire. If there’s no Cloud version, we propose alternatives such as Jira Automation, Forge apps, or other Marketplace solutions. All changes are tested in a sandbox before they affect users.

How do you ensure EU data residency and compliance?
Atlassian Cloud Premium and Enterprise allow you to pin data to EU regions. We also validate Marketplace app storage locations and provide attestation reports and registers for your compliance teams.

Can you migrate Confluence and Jira Service Management along with Jira Software?
Yes. In many projects we migrate Jira Software, Confluence, and JSM in parallel. Each product has its own migration plan, but we align the waves so users move into a complete Cloud environment.

What’s the typical timeline for a Data Center → Cloud migration?
For mid-sized instances (up to a few thousand users), migrations usually take 8–12 weeks. Large, complex environments (tens of thousands of users, hundreds of projects) may take several months. We always work in stages so teams can stay productive during the process.

Do you provide post-migration support?
Yes. After go-live we run a hypercare period (30–90 days) with daily or weekly checks. We train admins and power users, provide a “quick wins” adoption backlog, and help optimize licensing and app costs.

For GDPR due diligence, Deviniti provides a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) under GDPR Article 28. As a general rule, personal data processing takes place within the EU/EEA. Where international transfers are necessary, Deviniti uses lawful transfer mechanisms (e.g., EU adequacy decisions and Standard Contractual Clauses) with additional safeguards. For products that support it, you can also choose service delivery exclusively via infrastructure located in the EEA.
