Asset & CMDB jobs we do

Design the CMDB model: agree what to track and how it connects
Define object schemas, attributes, and naming (hardware, software, services, vendors).
Set governance: owners, lifecycle states, required fields, and data standards.
Import and normalize data: bring data in clean, without duplicates
Map and load from tools/spreadsheets/CMDBs (e.g., SCCM/Intune/Jamf/ServiceNow/Snow).
De-duplicate and validate data using rules for canonical sources and consistent keys.
Map relationships: see how assets roll up to services
Model dependencies (server → app → service → business capability).
Enable impact analysis for incidents and change risk assessment in JSM.
Automate lifecycle: keep records fresh without manual updates
Build request-to-retire workflows with approvals and fulfillment steps.
Use Assets automation to update status, owner, warranty, and stock on events.
Link incidents/changes to CIs: put the right asset on every ticket
Require/select CIs on incident, problem, and change forms; show CI details to agents.
Report on MTTR by CI/service and track change success with real dependencies.
Build self-service requests: let people request gear and software in one place
Portal catalog with stock checks, cost/role-based approvals, and SLAs.
Auto-create/assign asset records on fulfillment and reclaim on return/offboarding.

The value our clients get from Atlassian asset management services

Real improvements we deliver

Logo image

Cleaner data, fewer tickets

De-duplicated asset records with clear owners, so agents stop chasing “who owns this laptop/app?”. One source of truth reduces misrouted tickets and repeat requests.
Logo image

Faster resolution

Tickets link to the right CI, so agents see version, owner, and history in one view. Impact paths (CI → service) speed triage and cut time spent guessing where to look.
Logo image

Risk reduction

Changes tied to real dependencies lower failed changes and unplanned outages. Standard approvals and guardrails reduce “workaround” fixes and shadow updates.
Logo image

Audit readiness

Complete asset and change history support ISO/SOC/SOX reviews without a scramble. Role-based access and required fields keep sensitive data controlled and consistent.
Logo image

Lower cost to operate

Automation updates status, stock, and owners mean less manual admin time. Clear lifecycle (issue, reclaim, retire) reduces license waste and unused hardware.

Continuous data health

Scheduled syncs and validation rules catch stale or missing records before they cause trouble. You keep your CMDB accurate without manual cleanup marathons.

FAQ about Atlassian asset management services

  • Do I need Jira Service Management to use asset management setup?

Yes. Our approach is built on Jira Service Management Assets (CMDB). That’s where we model, clean, and automate your inventory. If your team already uses JSM, we can improve your current setup and connect external data sources.

If you don’t have JSM yet, we’ll help you choose the right plan and prepare your environment, so the asset management setup fits your ITSM goals from day one.

  • What’s the difference between your service and a standard JSM setup?

Out of the box, Jira Service Management gives you the tools, but not the structure. We design that structure with you: what to track, how it connects, who owns it, and how to keep it clean. You get a governed, automated CMDB with lifecycle rules, ownership standards, and workflows tied to incidents, changes, and requests. In short: JSM gives you Assets; we turn it into a system your teams can actually rely on.

  • What kind of data sources can you connect?

We can connect most tools that store asset or user data, like SCCM, Intune, Jamf, Snow, or even spreadsheets. During onboarding, we review your current sources, clean duplicates, and define which system becomes your “source of truth”.

Once connected, we automate syncs and updates, so you don’t need to manually import data again. Everything stays consistent across systems.

  • How long does a full setup take?

A typical project takes around 6-8 weeks from kickoff to handover. That includes CMDB design, data import, automation rules, and training. You’ll start seeing value early. Once your data is cleaned and relationships are mapped, agents can already link tickets to the right assets and spot dependencies. By the end, you get a fully operational, well-documented setup ready for everyday use.

  • What happens after go-live?

You’ll receive all documentation, admin training, and a clear ownership plan for your CMDB. That means your team can manage and extend it confidently on their own.

If you’d rather have ongoing support, we also offer hypercare and managed service options, from regular data health checks to workflow adjustments and integration updates as your environment evolves.

  • Do you have security/compliance documentation we can use for vendor due diligence (audits, certifications, privacy)?

Yes. Deviniti’s Trust Center provides downloadable security and compliance documentation for vendor due diligence, including:

    • ISO/IEC 27001 certificate (ISMS)
    • ISO/IEC 27017 certificate (cloud security controls guidance)
    • SOC 2 Type 1 report
    • Privacy & Security Overview
    • CAIQ Lite – Apps (Cloud Security Alliance questionnaire)
    • Cloud Hosting Locations & Data Residency Options
    • Information Security Policy (AUP)

For GDPR due diligence, Deviniti provides a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) under GDPR Article 28. As a general rule, personal data processing takes place within the EU/EEA. Where international transfers are necessary, Deviniti uses lawful transfer mechanisms (e.g., EU adequacy decisions and Standard Contractual Clauses) with additional safeguards. For products that support it, you can also choose service delivery exclusively via infrastructure located in the EEA.
