Managing Request actions

Learn how to manage the settings of the configured Request actions.

Warning

Before you start, log in as a user with Jira Administrators project permissions. For more information, see Atlassian documentation.

The Actions for JSM app enables you to easily manage the Request action configurations. Simply navigate to Jira sidebar > Apps > Actions for Jira Service Management > Actions > Request actions.

Tip
You can also access Request actions via Jira admin settings > Marketplace apps > Actions for Jira Service Management > Actions > Request actions.

Within this view you’re able to:

Jira change request form for Jira Service Management
Manage Request Actions - Actions for Jira Service Management
  1. View the configuration details of a specific Request action, including its description, editors, transition details, request edit settings, and editable fields.
  2. Enable or disable the Request action’s visibility on the Customer Portal. When the toggle is turned on, your Request action is displayed on the Customer Portal so customers can edit their requests.
  3. Edit the configuration of the created Request action. When you click the pen icon, you’ll be redirected to the Configuration view.
  4. Copy the Request action along with its full configuration to create a duplicate. This is especially useful when setting up multiple similar actions for different request types or transitions. Note that copied Request actions are not linked - changes made to the original will not affect the duplicate.
  5. Delete the created Request action and its configuration.
