Learn how to manage the settings of Edit forms
Before you start, log in as a user with Jira Administrators project permissions. For more information, see Atlassian documentation.
The Actions app enables you to easily manage the created edit forms and adjust their settings to the needs of your Customer Portal’s users.
After adding your Edit form, you can see it on the Edit forms' management view. The view presents all added Edit forms and enables you to:
- check the details of a particular Edit form’s configuration
- disable Edit form’s visibility on the Customer Portal
- change the configuration of your Edit form
- delete your Edit form and its configuration

Checking configuration
Steps
- Go to Project settings and select Request actions.
- Click the expand arrow next to a particular Edit form’s name to see the details of its configuration.
- Check details of the selected Edit form’s configuration: Description, Editors, When requests can be edited, Requests types to edit and Fields to edit.

You can check and compare the configuration of several Edit forms simultaneously.
To close the view with details of the selected Edit form’s configuration, use the expand arrow next to the particular Edit form’s name.
Editing configuration
Steps
- Go to Project settings and select Request actions.
- Click the expand arrow next to a particular Edit form’s name to see the details of its configuration.
- To change the particular Edit form, click the pen icon. You will be redirected to the Configuration view.

- Introduce changes to the Edit form’s configuration. You can update settings of the following sections:
- Edit form title
- Fields
- Requests types
- Permissions
- Store your changes by clicking Save.

Enabling Visibility
Steps
- Go to Project settings and select Request actions.
- To make the particular Edit Form visible on your Customer Portal, turn on the toggle next to the Edit form’s name.

When the toggle is turned on, your Edit form is displayed on the Customer Portal so customers will be able to edit their requests by using it.
You can enable the visibility of more than one Edit form on the Customer Portal so users will be able to edit their requests by using several Edit forms and precisely update requests.
Disabling Visibility
Steps
- Go to Project settings and select Request actions.
- To disable the visibility of the particular Edit form, turn off the toggle next to the Edit form’s name.

When the toggle is turned off, customers will not be able to edit their requests by using the Edit form.
Deleting configuration
Steps
- Go to Project settings and select Request actions.
- To delete a particular Edit form, click the bin icon.

- To confirm that you wish to permanently delete your Edit form, click Delete.
