Manage fields

With manage fields you can change the order of fields to prevent conflicts between conditions.

Warning
  • Before you start, log in as a user with the Jira Global Administrator permission. Users without this kind of permission can’t see this tab.
  • Changes made in this section have an impact on native Jira screens, including other projects.
  1. Click and expand Options.

  2. Click Manage fields.

  3. Drag and drop fields to change their order.

Tip

If you find some fields unnecessary, simply click the bin icon to delete them.

  1. Use the Back to rules button to turn off the edit mode.

View types

You can apply actions to the issue view. This feature is disabled by default (toggle is off) and rules are applied only to create issue. Once you turn it on the rules are applied to the issue view as well.

Steps

  1. Expand Options in project settings.

  2. Navigate to the View types tab.

  3. Turn on the Apply screen scheme settings to Issue View toggle.

Result

Dynamic Forms for Jira actions will be applied to the issue view according to their configuration.

Info

Rules that can be applied to the issue view are:

  • Show field
  • Show/Hide options
  • Read-only
  • Set value - applied on change, once the related field is edited

If a read-only field is empty, it’ll be hidden on the issue view.
