Get started quickly with the Dynamic Forms Cloud app using the directions in this chapter.

Create demo project

If you use Dynamic Forms for the first time or need help understanding how the application works, consider creating a demo project. You’ll receive a new project with an example configuration of rules.

Steps

  1. Navigate to Apps > Dynamic Forms.

  3. Check information displayed on the screen and click Create project.

  4. Once the project is successfully created, click Go to configuration.

  5. The screen schemes configuration opens in a new tab.

  6. Select for which issue types the configuration will be available. By default, all issue types are enabled. If you want to disable the configuration for some issue types drag and drop them into the Disabled configuration area.

  7. Click Edit actions.

  8. This sample configuration applies rules to two fields:

  • Description - set values name, position, and department, when summary contains onboarding.
  • Priority - set value highest when description contains manager and set value lowest without conditions.
  1. To see how the rules apply, create an issue and, for example, enter ‘onboarding’ in the Summary field. This triggers a form with a description to complete.

Result

You have created a new project with a sample rule configuration.
