How to integrate Jira Cloud and Server / Data center

Server / DC <-> Server / DC

In case you want to synchronize two Jira Server / Data center instances you can choose from all options and features available.

Only limitation you have to consider is available IssueSYNC version for your Jira version.

Given example versions listing (current is available here https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.intenso.jira.plugins.synchronizer/versions).

Server / DC <-> Cloud

You can synchronize Jira Server with Jira Cloud using IssueSYNC.

What can be synchronized

  • Projects, issue types
  • Fields
  • Comments
  • Attachments
Server Cloud
1 Add new Connection to your Server (use Passive instance if your Server is not visible in public network). It will generate authentication key (blurred on screen below):
2 Add new Connection providing Remote Auth Key. Use myJIRA.atlassian.net URL. It will generate local authentication key as well. Update Remote Auth Key.
3 Setup Synchronization Scheme. Setup Synchronization Scheme.
4 Setup Field Mapping Server. Setup fields mapping on Cloud.
5 Set your triggers and enable Contract. Set your triggers and enable Contract.

Cloud <-> Cloud

All options described in IssueSYNC Cloud documentation are available for you.

Cloud has always one - the latest version so you don’t have to worry about non existing features and app version as in case of Server <-> Server synchronization.
