Baseline

Baseline lets you create a read-only snapshot of your project at a specific point in time, capturing requirements together with all linked tests and defects. It provides a single source of truth for approvals, audits, and quality reviews. Once created, a baseline represents a consistent state of the project, regardless of later changes. Baselines can be reviewed in the RTM app or exported to PDF for reporting and compliance purposes.

You can review the data:

1. In the Requirements and Test Management for Jira app.
2. In a PDF file.

Create Baseline

Steps

1. Go to the RTM (Test Management) app.
2. Go to the Baselines tab.
3. Click Create Baseline.

4. Enter Baseline name and Description.
5. Click Next.

6. Click Add issues to select issues for the Baseline.
7. Optional - click Add Requirements or Add Test Cases to select issues from a pre-filtered list.

8. Select issues.
9. Click Add.

10. Select issues.
11. Click Save.

Result

The Baseline has been created and captures the state of issues at the time of creation.

Download PDF file

Steps

1. Go to the RTM (Test Management) app.
2. Go to the Baselines tab.
3. Click PDF.

4. Select the fields to include in the PDF file. Choose all fields or select specific ones.
5. Decide how to include attachments: choose Plain text to exclude links, or Linked files to include them.
6. Click Download.

7. Click Download PDF.

Result

You’ve downloaded a PDF file containing data captured at the time the selected baseline was created.
