Create a company-managed project for RTM app

This chapter provides information on how to create a company-managed project in Jira.

There are two types of projects provided by Jira: team-managed and company-managed (formerly next-gen and classic). Even though the core functionalities works the same for both types, RTM app integrates only with company-managed projects.

Steps

To create a classic project for the Requirements and Test Management for Jira app:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Projects.

  2. Choose template for your project.

    Note
    Make sure your template supports company-managed projects. Learn more about Templates here.

  3. Click Use as a template.

  4. Click Select a company-managed project.

  5. Enter a project Name and Key.

    Note
    In this dialog you can also Change template and Connect work across your tools. Read more about this feature in official Atlassian documentation.

  6. Click Create.

Result

Company-managed project has been created. Now, you can navigate to First steps and start configuring RTM app.
