This chapter provides information about the Preconditions repository.

  2. Click the Preconditions tab.

Create a Precondition

  1. Navigate to Test Management > Preconditions.
  2. Click Create precondition.
  3. Fill in the content of the precondition.
  4. Click Save.

Result

New precondition has been added to the repository.

Edit a Precondition

  1. Navigate to Test Management > Preconditions.
  2. Click the pencil icon next to the precondition you want to modify.
  3. Update the content.
  4. Click Save.

Result

The precondition has been updated in the repository.

Delete a Precondition

  1. Navigate to Test Management > Preconditions.
  2. Click the delete icon next to the precondition you want to remove.
  3. Confirm the deletion.

Result

The precondition has been removed from the repository.

Use Preconditions from the Repository

Select from Repository

Insert one or more preconditions from the repository into a Test Case or Test Case Execution:

  1. Open a Test Case or Test Case Execution.
  2. Go to the Steps tab.
  3. In the Preconditions section, switch to edit mode and click Select from repository.
  4. In the modal, browse or search for the preconditions you need.
  5. Select the preconditions.
  6. Click Add.

Result

Selected preconditions are inserted into the Preconditions field.

Add Preconditions to the repository

Save content from the Preconditions field directly to the repository to reuse it later:

  1. Open a Test Case or Test Case Execution.
  2. Go to the Steps tab.
  3. In the Preconditions section, switch to edit mode and click Add to repository.
  4. Edit Preconditions if needed.
  5. Click Save.

Result

Selected text has been saved to the Preconditions repository.
