Requirement Test Coverage Report

This chapter provides information on how to create a Requirement Test Coverage Report and how to read it.

The Requirement Test Coverage Report shows you links between Requirements and testing objects: Test Cases, Test Plans, Test Executions, Test Case Executions, and Defects. You will be able to see in numbers which Requirements are covered by these testing objects and which are not.

Generate report

Steps

  1. Navigate to Apps > RTM (Test Management).

  2. Click Coverage in the REPORTS section.

  3. Configure the following objects:

    • Project
    • Requirement type
    • Folder
    • Fix Version
    • Component
    • RTM Environment
    • Assignee
    • Labels
  4. If you are missing some filters, you can use quick filters (JQL).

  5. Click Generate.

Result

You have generated the Requirement Test Coverage Report.

Customize report

Once the report is generated, you have the possibility to use additional filters:

  • Settings - select issue details (assignee, components, fix version, RTM environment, labels).
  • Covered/Uncovered/Covered and uncovered - show Requirements covered or uncovered by the testing objects. You can also show all Requirements.
  • Show summary in numbers - show testing objects only as numbers, without additional description. This will help you to quickly determine the number of testing objects covering a given Requirement.
  • Show issue fields - show issue details selected in the settings.

Tip
  • To quickly navigate to the Requirement, Test Case, Test Plan, etc., click on the issue key.
  • You can export report to .pdf or .csv file by clicking Export.
