Calendars

The Calendars section allows you to define the exact timeframes during which SLA timers should operate, giving you full control over how service level agreements are measured across different teams and regions.

Key features:

• Custom Working Hours
  Configure specific working hours for each day of the week to reflect your team’s real-world schedule. Whether you operate on standard working hours or have unique shift patterns, SLA timers will only run during your defined business hours.
• Country-Specific Holiday Integration
  Select from preloaded holiday calendars for various countries to automatically exclude public holidays from SLA tracking. Ensure compliance with local regulations and avoid SLA breaches due to non-working days.
• Reusable Custom Holiday Calendars
  Create and manage your own holiday calendars to suit your organization’s needs. These can be reused across multiple SLA configurations, saving time and ensuring consistency across projects and teams.
• Use Jira Assets as Calendars
  Integrate with Jira Assets to define and manage calendars directly from your asset data. You can leverage existing organizational information. By reusing asset data, you ensure accuracy, consistency, and easier maintenance across multiple SLA configurations.

1. In the Calendars tab click Add Calendar to create a new calendar.

   

2. Name your calendar and set a time zone. You may also use a calendar from Jira Service Management Assets. Click here to see an SLA configuration.

   

3. Set working hours for your SLA tracking.

You can select specific days, add additional time-slot for your work using the + button, and set different working hours for different days if you use the Different hours for each day toggle. Details are explained in the live-demo above.

4. Configure your holiday calendar. There are three ways to do it:

• + Add - allows you to select specific dates manually.
• Import national holidays - offers an automatic import from a calendar database for various countries.

• Import from another calendar - you can use a previously-configured calendar from this app.
  Warning

  Import from another calendar overwrites previously added holidays using other options. Changes made in the source calendar later will not affect this configuration.

  

  

5. Click Save calendar.

Result

Your calendar has been created that specifies your working days and hours, and excludes holidays.
