Can I additionally secure the Electronic Signature field?

We recommend using the Username comparation method and Force current user’s credentials functions.

How can I ensure that the required signature is given?

You can use the Electronic Signature validator.

How can I require that only specific people can sign off an issue?

You can narrow down the number of approvers in the Custom field settings.

How can I generate a PDF report?

You can do it right from the issue view. Check how in the PDF snapshots chapter.

Can I define the amount of invalid login attempts?

You can do it by using the Maximum invalid login attempts option.

Where can I see all the invalid authorization attempts?

You can view them in the Invalid attempts logs section.

Can I require an electronic signature for every change in an issue?

To ensure that every change or action in an issue requires an Electronic Signature, you need to disable inline editing. For instructions, see Atlassian documentation.

Is Electronic Signature compatible with SSO?

Currently, the Electronic Signature app uses user account details provided in Jira User Management. Therefore, the app uses Jira account details for authentication and does not support electronic signatures with SSO. Currently, using SSO may lead to electronic signature authentication errors or users being logged out of Jira.

Can I get information about given signatures using REST API?

You can obtain information about authorized signatures for a particular issue by calling a REST service that uses either the Issue Key or the Issue ID as a parameter.

Are there any JQL queries to search by given signatures?

Yes, check them out in the JQL for Electronic Signature chapter.

Can I use Electronic Signature on the Customer portal?

Electronic Signature was created to work in internal Jira issues, but some functions can be configured. Learn more in the Signatures on the Customer portal chapter.
