Export Request

Learn how to export selected requests to the DOC file.

You can allow customers to export their requests to the DOC files by adding the Export icon so that it’s displayed in Request Details View.

Steps

  1. Choose the project for which you want to enable exporting and go to Project settings.
  2. On the left sidebar, click General under the Extension section.
  3. Turn on the toggle under the Export Request section.

  4. Go to your Customer Portal.
  5. Go to the Requests Page and navigate to any request.
  6. Click the Export icon.
    Now you can create Jira Service Management requests with Export Issue configuration in the request details view on the Customer Portal

Result

The request displayed on the Customer Portal is exported to the DOC file and saved on your computer.

Warning

If you export a request to the DOC file, it presents all comments (not only shared with customers but even internal comments added to the issue view).
