Request Types visibility
Learn how to define the visibility of selected request types for different Customer Portal users.
With Visibility you can configure functionalities which are related to the Customer Portal requests that can be displayed only to select users who are formed in user groups. The Request Types tab allows you to choose particular request types that should be visible only to selected user groups.
Configuration
To configure the functionality which allows for displaying a particular request type only to selected user groups, follow the below steps.
Steps
- Choose Projects from the main navigation bar.
- Select the service project you want to configure.
- Navigate to Project settings > Visibility in the Extension section.
- Go to the Request Types tab.
- Click Add.
- Select Request type for which you can determine visibility.
- Choose Groups of users for which the selected request type(s) will be visible on the Customer Portal.
You can add a new group of users by accessing Jira Administration > User management > Groups. Once you access the configuration, enter a name for your new group and click Add.
- Click Save.
Result
Your Request Types configuration is added. On the Customer Portal the selected request types are visible only to the chosen user groups.
It’s possible to edit or delete your configuration any time by using Actions. Click the Pen icon to edit a particular configuration of Request Types or use the Bin icon to delete the configuration.
