Show Attachments
This section provides information on how to show attachments panel in the request on the Customer Portal.
Note
To check your settings, go to: Project Settings > Request Types > Edit fields > Add a field.
Steps
To set configuration:
- Choose Projects at the top of the screen.
- Choose the service project you want to configure.
- From service project sidebar, select Project settings > General in the Extension for Jira Service Management section.
- Go to the Show Attachments section.
- Set the state of Show attachments switch to on.

Result
An attachments panel is configured to display in the request on the Customer Portal.

To check how attachments panel works by adding attachments to the request form:
Steps
- Create a new request.
- Add the attachment: drag and drop file, paste screenshot or browse.
- Click Create.
Result
The attachments panel is displayed in the request details view on the Customer Portal.

- Add the attachment: drag and drop file, paste screenshot or browse.

The attachments panel is displayed in the request detail view on the Customer Portal.
To check how attachments panel works by adding attachments to the issue view:
Steps
- Go to the issue view.
- Drop file to attach or browse.
- Click Share with customer.
WarningRemember to click Share with customer if you want to make attachment visible on the Customer Portal. - Go to the request detail view.
Result
The attachments panel is displayed in the request detail view on the Customer Portal.
Next steps
- Click on the attachment to download it.
- Click Download all to download all attachments in the .ZIP file.
Warning
If no attachments are added to the issue (shared with customer) or to the request, the attachments panel will not appear on the Customer Portal.
