Learn about color labels added to the fields by the Issue Templates app
To help users determine, which Jira fields and custom fields are affected by the app, Issue Templates allows you to add color markings in the background or as a color label displayed next to a field.
A two-color label next to a field that is both autofilled by a template and in the scope of the Create Structure post function.
When users hover over the label, they’ll see a tooltip informing them what it means:
To configure color labels:
The color labels and the Template field’s background are displayed on the Create, Edit and Transition screens.
Here are descriptions and examples of all the color markings in the Issue Templates app:

A green label indicates that the field is autofilled by a template and users can change the value.
A warning next to the green label means that the Overwrite values mode is activated in the Set of fields configuration. It warns users that any value they provide can be overwritten by the template.
A yellow label appears next to fields that are included in the Different set of fields for post function scope. It warns users that the value can be changed later in the workflow by the Create Structure post function.
A warning next to the yellow label means that the Overwrite values mode is activated in the field configuration. It warns users that any value they provide can be overwritten by the template.
