Labels dictionaries

This section provides information on creating labels dictionaries which allow to group labels with Labels Cage for Confluence Server app.

Warning

Before you start, log in as an admin with the Confluence Admin Permissions.

Steps

To set configuration:

  1. Choose Spaces at the top of the screen.
  2. Choose the space you want to configure.
  3. Go to Space Tools at the bottom of the screen > Content tools > Labels Management.
  4. Click Enable Labels Cage for… (the name of your space) to make app active.

  5. Go to Labels dictionaries and click Add new labels dictionary.

    The Add new labels dictionary dialog box appears.
  6. Enter a dictionary name.
  7. Click Add.

  8. Configure the following:
    Note
    • Remember, if you set minimum required labels, you can’t create page without specified count of labels.
    • To make dictionary global, click a tick in the Global dictionary section.
    • Minimum required labels: enter the minimum value.
    • Maximum count of labels: enter the maximum value.
  9. Click Save.

  10. Go to Labels and enter a name of new label.
    Warning
    A label name can’t contain white spaces and these characters: !, #, &, (, ), *, ,,, ., <, >, ?, @, ^, ".
  11. Click Add.

    Note
    • Added labels are sorted in alphabetical order.
    • If you want to copy labels dictionary from another space, click Copy at the right of the table, select a space and click Copy.
    • To move labels dictionary to another space, click Move at the right of the table, select a space and click Move.
    • Options for editing or removing configuration are at the right of the table.
    • To remove selected label, click the cross icon beside the label name.

Result

A new space configuration is added.
