Filtering criteria

Learn how to add and use filtering criteria on your page with requests.

Filtering criteria presented on the app’s Requests page serve for filtering the content of the list with requests. For improved usability, you can add or remove available filtering criteria as you wish.

Adding criteria

To learn about adding Filtering criteria visible on the app’s Requests page, read the steps below.

Steps

  1. Click the Slider icon to see all available fields that can be used as filtering criteria.

  2. Select one or more fields that you want to add as criteria for filtering.

Bear in mind that by adding or removing Filtering criteria you can use only the fields (system or custom) that are predefined in the app configuration by your Jira administrator.

To remove the field added as Filtering criteria, navigate to the Slider icon and deselect the field.

The selected fields are set as Filtering criteria and displayed above the list with requests.

Note
  • The Status field used as Filtering criteria displays names of Jira workflow statuses for all request types available in a particular project. By filtering requests, you can use the default status names and the custom names set as Status name to show customer.
  • Bear in mind that by using the Project and Fix Versions fields as filtering criteria, their data are automatically matched.

Using criteria

To learn about using Filtering criteria, check the below steps.

  1. Navigate to the filtering criteria you want to filter with.

  2. Unfold the drop-down list and select the items to be used for filtering.

Tip

By filtering requests you can also include the criteria categories that are empty. To display the requests with no defined filtering criteria, use the none option.

Bear in mind that selecting empty categories by filtering is available for both Jira and custom fields excluding the following fields: Approvals, Comment, Created, Linked issues, Organization, Priority, Project, Reporter, Status, Summary, Issue Type, Updated.

Result

Your list with requests is filtered with the use of the selected criteria.

Note

To facilitate filtering with criteria, you can use the options that appear by unfolding the particular filtering criteria drop-down:

  • the search bar to quickly find the desired criteria for filtering.
  • the Select all button to select all available filtering criteria at once.
  • the Clear selected items button to deselect all filtering criteria in a particular category at once.
Tip

By using the Comment field as filtering criteria, you can filter requests by using comments or the names of attachments added to your requests. Filtering also applies to the internal comments and attachments.
