This section provides information on how to configure a group of queues.
The Queues for Jira & JSM allows you to create queue groups and subgroups to organize your queues and create a multilevel structure that helps you manage your work easily.
You can edit the previously created group or delete it if it’s no longer necessary. You can also perform bulk change operations on many queues within a group. Additionally, you can hide or unhide groups depending on your current needs.
You can create queue groups to organize and manage your queues faster and easier.
Before you start, log in as a user with the Jira Administrators global permission or make sure you have a permission to configure queues.
Click + button.
Provide a Group name, up to 50 characters.
Customize your queue or group name by adding an emoji. There are several ways you can do it:
Here, you can add Group administrator(s). They will be able to change the settings of each queue within this group. However, they won’t be able to edit queues within its subgroups. To change the subgroup’s admins, edit the specific subgroup.
Adding group admins is optional.
Read more about how you can change Group administrators in multiple groups at once in the Managing group admins chapter.
The Manage queue group dialog will show up.
To move a queue or group from right column to left column, first hover the mouse over that item (either group or individual queue). When relocating elements between columns, please observe the blue line, as it assists you in accurately positioning the specific queue or group. A red line indicates that the element cannot be positioned in the desired location.
The new group is added to the list.

You can read more about Visible to and Columns in the Configuring queues chapter.
Below is a live demo of the action mentioned above. Additionally, you can review each action in more detail by following the steps described below.
To bulk change queues within one group:
The Bulk change queues dialog appears.
In our example, we want to replace the visibility of our selected queues with the new user and replace columns in their tables with issues with the new ones.
Steps:
If you want to edit or discard the changes at this point, click the Edit or Discard button in the Info box.
Selected queues within the group are updated according to your changes.
You can also perform bulk changes on multiple queues across the entire Queues for Jira & JSM app. Go to the Bulk change queues chapter and learn how to do that.
You can delete unnecessary groups or whole groups with queues.
Before you start, log in as a user with the Jira Administrators global permission, or make sure you have a permission to configure queues.
The Delete group dialog shows up.
The selected group has been deleted.
To focus only on the groups that are necessary to you, you can hide the groups of queues that you are not interested in.
The selected group is hidden and located under the general Hidden group of queues.
When you hide the group, it changes its visibility only for you - other users within your project change groups’ visibility individually within their panels.
If the group is currently hidden and needs to be visible again, you can unhide it.
The selected group is visible in the place from where it was previously hidden.
When you unhide the group, it changes its visibility only for you - other users within your project change groups’ visibility individually within their panels.
