Test Plan Iterations Report

This report shows all test executions from selected Test Plan. With this report you can easily analyze the actual state of each Test Case execution in given Iteration.

Note

The number of displayed Test Plans in the report is set to 200 by default. You can change this value in the TestFLO Settings > Reports > Test Plan Iterations Report: TP limit. Remember that increasing this number can affect your Jira performance or cause an out-of-memory exception, leading to your Jira instance crash.

Steps

To use the Test Plan Iterations Report:

  1. Click on Projects in main bar in Jira and select project from list.
  2. Click on Test Reports on left side menu.
Report with TestFLO Jira Test Management

Filter

Filtering helps you choose the right data set for analysis. To obtain an appropriate range of data you can filter the Test Plan by selecting the appropriate built-in filter or use a saved filter. To search for a specific value enter a phrase in the search bar. The Filter list has its own searching categories.

Saved Jira filters In this category, you can filter requirements using defined filters in the Issue Navigator.

Show iteration name

Show iteration name displays the Iteration names instead of their numbers. You can use this option if the filter you selected returns one Test Plan only. If you have not changed the iterations names, then the default names will appear.

Info

Show iteration name is related to changing the iteration name on Test Plan. Renaming the iteration allows you to link the test results to the Test Plan context. The context can be a given sprint, build, version, or other important information. Read more about the Iteration name in the Progress section at the Test information panel in Test Plan.

Example

The selected filter returns one Test Plan, and the iteration names have been changed to the names of the sprints in which the iterations were performed. View of the report before the Show iteration names is checked:

Summary and Test Execution Results

Summary section displays information about the number of Test Plans, Test Cases and its executions, also statuses of all executions.

Note

Test Plans that have at least one Test Case are counted in the Summary. If your filter includes a Test Plan without Test Cases then it will not be counted or shown in the results table.

Test Execution Results section shows the percentage progress of test executions.

Test Cases executions

Report with TestFLO Jira Test Management

The columns in the report show the following elements:

  • Test Plan - Issue key of Test Plan in which the Test Case is included.
  • Test Case - Issue key of Test Case.
  • Test Case Summary - Summary of given Test Case.
  • Execution passed - the percentage of passed executions for given Test Case.
  • #Number (x%) - the iteration number and percentage of passed executions of all Test Cases in given iteration.
Note

You can decide which Test Case statuses will be treated as passed. See Passed statuses in TestFLO settings.

Each row in the report presents one Test Case and its execution in a given iteration on Test Plan. Each cell represents the status color of the Test Case execution in the given iteration. If the Test Case is not included in the given iteration, the status color is not displayed and the N/A appears in its place.

Note

To sort the results (DESC or ASC) displayed in the report, use arrows next to the Test Plan or Execution passed columns.

Details preview

If you want to see the details of particular execution, hover over the cell and click on it. The Executions details dialog will appear with basic information about Test Case execution in a given iteration.

You can quickly switch between Test Case executions by using paging at the bottom of the Executions details dialog.
