Master Test Plan tab

In this chapter you will learn how to enable Master Test Plan issue type in your project.

Note

The Master Test Plan allows you to organize Test Plans into one bigger Test Plan. To learn more about this issue type, go to the Master Test Plan chapter.

Enable Master Test Plan issue type in projects

Steps

  1. Navigate to your project.
  2. Click Project settings.
  3. Click Test Management.

  1. Click Master Test Plan tab.
  2. Turn the Status of Master Test Plan toggle on.
  3. Select which projects will include the Master Test Plan issue type.

Result

After refreshing the page in the project settings you can edit a new issue type - Master Test Plan. You will be able to use it in the selected projects.

Group Master Test Plans

You can group Master Test Plans into a larger object, even an issue type (for example epic).

Steps

  1. Navigate to your project.
  2. Click Project settings.
  3. Click Test Management.
  4. Click Master Test Plan tab.
  5. Click Add.

  1. Select a project in which the Master Test Plan Parents will be set.
  2. Select issue types.
  3. Click Save.

Results

When editing or creating a Master Test Plan, there is a Master Test Plan Parent field that will allow you to add this Master Test Plan to a larger object.
