Translation compatibility
Learn how the Translation app is compatible with Theme Extension
If the Translation for Jira Service Management app is active on your Jira instance, the Theme Extension app will display an additional box in all the configuration panels from the Elements drop-down list. It allows for generating a translation keys that can be used in the Translation app to automatically translate those elements to selected languages. You can also translate all the editable elements such as welcome message and searchbar placeholders.
Steps
- To get the translation key, open a theme editor and click Elements in the top right corner.
Note
Supported elements for getting a translation key are:
- Announcement banner
- Footer
- Choose one of the available elements to open a configuration panel.
- Click Get a Key and copy it to clipboard.
- Insert the key to your Translation app.
Be sure to insert all HTML tags that have been copied from the theme editor to the Translation configuration.
