Language switcher
This page provides information on how the language switcher is integrated into the Service Management UI and how to configure it.
Warning
- Before you start, log in as a user with the Jira Administrators global permission.
- Before making any translations, define which languages will be featured on the Customer Portal.
Steps
- Go to Jira Administration > Manage apps.
- Select Welcome from the menu in the Translation section. You will see the language switcher configuration with language lists.
Warning
The language lists include languages available in Jira Service Management. To learn how to add more languages to Jira, go to Atlassian Translations.
- Navigate to Languages to select and click on the languages to add them to the Language switcher list.
Note- To remove a particular language from the Language switcher list, click on it. As a result, it will be moved to the Language to select list.
- If the translation isn’t complete, the untranslated part of the content will be displayed in the default language set for Jira Service Management.
Result
The language switcher is configured.
Example
The user is able to change language via the Change language menu on the Customer Portal.
