Jira -> Trello synchronization

This page provides information on Jira -> Trello synchronization with Trello Sync for Jira app.

DEPRECATED APP: End of development and support

We have decided to pause our efforts in this area, so this app is no longer available on the Atlassian Marketplace. We will be providing support to each customer until their license expires.

This type of synchronization means everything is synced from Jira to Trello and not vice-versa. If there are updates on the synced tasks, for example comments or attachments in Trello card, they will not be synced back.

Warning

All issues in Jira which had been created before configuring the integration can’t be synchronized by default.
Change it in settings of the connection.

Note

In case of update a Jira issue, a corresponding change is visible in Trello after approximately one minute.

Jira fields which can be synchronized with Trello card parameters are listed below:

  • Summary (selected by default and can’t be changed)
  • Description
  • Due date
  • Labels
  • Attachments
  • Comments
Description of a Trello card can be filled with values from the following Jira fields:
  • Issue type
  • Priority
  • Epic name
  • Epic link
  • Reporter
  • Fix version
  • Original estimated duration
  • Sprint

Two options are also available in the configuration:

  • Put issue key as prefix of summary field: Allows to add issue key to summary field in the Trello card.
  • Synchronize subtasks: Allows to synchronize subtasks in Jira issue to Trello cards.
