Trello -> Jira synchronization
This page provides information on Trello -> Jira synchronization with Trello Sync for Jira app.
We have decided to pause our efforts in this area, so this app is no longer available on the Atlassian Marketplace. We will be providing support to each customer until their license expires.
This type of synchronization means everything is synced from Trello to Jira and not vice-versa. If there are updates on the synced tasks, for example comments or attachments in Trello card, they will not be synced back.
All cards on Trello board which had been created before configuring the integration can’t be synchronized.
Changes made on Trello boards are instantly visible in Jira.
Trello card parameters which can be synchronized with Jira fields are listed below:
- Summary (selected by default and cannot be changed)
- Description
- Due date
- Labels
Note
A label name can’t contain white spaces and must be a one word. Two-word label and label with spaces can’t be synchronized from Trello to Jira.
- Attachments
- Comments

Steps to check why the Incoming connection doesn’t work
Steps
- Make sure your Jira is exposed to external network.
- Check if URL address in web browser is the same as in Base URL in Jira General configuration.
- After creating or updating cards in Trello, it generates a webhook to your Jira and changes are visible immediately. When a model with webhook changes, the update is fired via an HTTP POST request from Trello to the URL provided. That callback URL looks like http://
(base_jira_url}/rest/trello/1.0/trello/elementUpdate. It is important to make this URL visible on the outside, because Trello needs to receive a positive response with status “200 OK”.
Webhooks are generated from the following Trello servers:
107.23.104.115
107.23.149.70
54.152.166.250
54.164.77.56
54.209.149.230
You can try adding this (or Trello itself) to the whitelist and see if the synchronization is performed correctly.
