Generate pages
The Generated pages configuration feature allows you to define for which Jira issues the new Confluence page will be created.
Configuration includes following steps:
In the Condition tab:
- providing JQL condition that defines for which issue a new Confluence page will be generated
- enabling Create a page after updating issue option
In the Parent page tab:
- defining a Parent page for created pages with visibility restrictions
- enabling Confluence page linking
In the Content tab:
- selecting a Page type(Empty page, Page with Issue content, Page from template)
- copying attachments
In the Page tree tab:
- creating a tree structure of your Confluence page
- defining child page’s contents (Empty page, Confluence Templates)
Note
You don’t have to refresh the issue to see newly created page. It appears automatically. However, there are two cases when the page should be reloaded:
- Given issue already displays the page provided by Existing pages display configuration feature
- User will make changes in issue so that it meets the rules from Generated pages configuration
To start your configuration:
- Navigate to Project settings < Advanced Confluence Integration for Jira
- In Generated pages configuration section, click Create first configuration
Configuration page opens. There are four tabs:
Manage configuration
After configuring the creation of pages, you can manage each configuration using:
- The toggle switch to disable/enable created configuration,
- The pencil icon to edit details,
- The bin icon to delete the configuration.
