Here’s what you can do with Dynamic Forms for Jira:

• Create rule sets - group rules and assign them to work types, request types, and screens in a space.
• Use shared rule sets - create rules once and reuse them across multiple spaces.
• Configure transition screens - manage fields of work items with different statuses.
• Configure Bundled Fields - group multiple fields into a single custom field.
• Set actions and conditions - use actions and apply conditions to to customize the form to your needs.
• Add variables - add placeholders that are filled with actual values supplied by the system.
• Import/export configurations - reuse rules across spaces or transfer them to another Jira instance.
• Use the Dynamic Forms Assistant - ask the Agent to create rules or display a currently applied configuration.

Rules, actions, and conditions

The Dynamic fields allows you to create conditions upon which a field should be displayed after selecting an option in the previous field.

The procedure is very simple and based on one configuration page. You just need to:

1. Create new rule set.
2. Assign scopes: work types and screens.
3. Select a field.
4. Add a rule with actions.
5. Define conditions for fields.

Data storage

Dynamic Forms for Jira doesn’t have its own database. It uses Forge Storage so data is stored directly in Jira. Deviniti doesn’t have access to your stored data.

The app checks Jira configuration data:

• Schemes
• List of fields
• User rights regarding fields and the create screen
