Requirements

Adding a requirement

Steps

To add a field which will be required on Customer Portal for defined group(s):

  1. Go to Jira Administration > Projects.
  2. Select project from the Project list.
    Welcome guide screen is displayed.
  3. Go to Project settings.
  4. Select Security from the menu in the Extension for Jira Service Desk section.
  5. Go to Requirements tab.
  6. Click Add.
    Requirement Security screen is displayed.
  7. Configure the following:
    • Request type: Select the request type on Customer Portal.
    • Field: Select the field from the list.
    • Groups: Pick group or groups for which selected field will be required.
      Tip

      To add a new group, go to Jira Administration > User management > Groups, enter name of group, and click Add.

      Warning

      To add a new group, log in as a user with the Jira Administrators global permission.

  8. Click Save.

Result

A requirement is added to the list.

Updating a requirement

Steps

To update a requirement for field:

  1. Go to Jira Administration > Projects.
  2. Select project from the Project list.
    Welcome guide screen is displayed.
  3. Go to Project settings.
  4. Select Security from the menu in the Extension for Jira Service Desk section.
  5. Go to Requirements tab.
  6. Click pencil button to edit selected requirement.
  7. Edit parameters.
  8. Click Edit.

Result

A requirement for selected field is updated.

Removing a requirement

Steps

To remove a requirement for field:

  1. Go to Jira Administration > Projects.
  2. Select project from the Project list.
    Welcome guide screen is displayed.
  3. Go to Project settings.
  4. Select Security from the menu in the Extension for Jira Service Desk section.
  5. Go to Requirements tab.
  6. Click trash button to remove selected requirement.

Result

Selected requirement is removed.
