Requirement Traceability Report
With the Requirement Traceability Report, you can track the relationship between requirements, Test Case Templates, Test Cases and its Iterations and defects. This helps you analyze the overall testing effort for requirements in a version.
The requirements issue types visible in report you can set in Requirements tab in Test Management. The requirements issue types, Test Case Templates, Test Case and Defects have to be linked using the Requirement CF to show their relationship.
Steps
To use the Requirements Traceability Report
- Click on Projects in main bar in Jira and select project from list.
- Click on Test Reports on left side menu.
- Choose the Requirement Traceability Report.

To quickly navigate to the requirement just click on the issue key. To see which Test Cases or Defects were created for a given requirement, click on the number in the Test Cases or Defects column.
Quick filters
Filtering in report will help you choose the right data set for analysis. To obtain an appropriate range of data you can filter the Requirements using built-in filters or use a saved filter.
