You can start using Issue Templates for Jira immediately without any configuration. Once you install the app any existing work item can be instantly reused as a template. Just open a work item and select Recreate, and the app will generate a new work item with the same fields, values, and structure.
This offers an effortless way to standardize work, speeds up work item creation, and reuses existing work item structures instantly, without setting up templates in advance.
Go to the work item you wish to recreate.
In the work item view go to the Actions menu and click Recreate work item.
Select a space you wish to recreate it in and options you want to apply and click Recreate.
