This section provides information about scope of your synchronization
The Synchronization scope allows you to choose, which exact projects from your Jira instance, and which particular issue types will be available for synchronization with your partner. You can also choose to allow the partner Jira to browse users and groups for the user and group picker fields.
This feature will be found most useful by users, who do not wish their private projects or issue types to be available in the configuration mapping for their partner Jira.
For example: If your company delivers software for multiple clients, you can use Synchronization scope to expose in the synchronization with Customer A only those projects that are included in his contract. The projects dedicated to other clients remain hidden.
Your Synchronization scope is not visible for your partner Jira. The scope itself can be adjusted at any time by editing the Synchronization Scope tab under given Synchronization details.
You can open synchronization details by opening an active Synchronization, and navigating to Synchronization Scope tab:
During the configuration of your scope, three options are available to choose from in the Projects and issue types section:
You can check the box, to enable browsing users and groups, for the synchronization of the user picker and group picker fields. This option is enabled by default.
Leaving the box unchecked will result in the inability to configure field options for user and group pickers.
