Button Colors
Add colors to buttons to make the most important transitions stand out
With Help you can add custom colors to transition buttons in Jira. For example, you can choose green for Resolve and red for Close or Reject. This helps users decide intuitively which button to click. You can either choose one of our predefined colors or add your own custom shades.
Button colors configuration
Steps
To assign colors to transition buttons:
- Go to Jira Administration > Manage apps.
- Open Color Button from the Conditions Validator app navigation.
- Select a workflow transition to be configured.
- Select a color for the transition. The app offers a few shades to choose from in a select list. If you’d like to add a specific color that is not included there, you can do so in the Custom colors section.
- Click Add.
- Repeat with all the transitions you’d like to highlight.
- Check the box next to ON/OFF.
- Click Save.
Result
Transition buttons have the chosen colors on the issue view (in all the projects where configured transitions are added to the workflow).
