Conditions Validator

Add a tab with all the workflow details to your issue view

Conditions Validator is a visualisation of the project workflow, showing all transitions together with their status and indicating which conditions still need to be fulfilled. It appears as a dedicated tab in the Activity section on the Jira issue view.

Here’s what information this feature can give you:

Help - Conditions Validator tab
Help - Conditions Validator tab
  1. Failed transitions are marked red.
  2. Failed conditions are marked with a red Not passed label.
  3. Passed transitions are marked green.
  4. Screen configuration shortcut links directly to the configuration of the related screen. (It is visible only for Jira administrators.)
  5. Transition ID lets you identify the right transition, even if there are many with the same name.
  6. Full condition descriptions help you identify any issues quickly, thanks to all details being displayed in one place.
Tip

Add a Hint Button to easily navigate to the Conditions Navigator Tab.

Permissions

In the Permissions (Tab) section you can select groups and projects where the Conditions Validator tab should be applied. It’s a good idea to configure it first, so that only selected users and groups will see the tab in the Issue view.

Steps

To change Conditions Validator’s visibility:

  1. Go to Jira Administration > Manage apps.
  2. Open the Permissions tab from the Conditions Validator app navigation.
  3. Select groups from the Available Groups section.
  4. Click Add to limit the visibility to selected groups.
  5. Select projects from the Available Projects section.
  6. Click Add to limit the visibility to selected projects.
  7. Remember to Save the configuration when it’s finished.
