Add Translations

Learn how to translate Dynamic Fields with Extension for Jira Service Management

With Extension for Jira Service Management you can translate Dynamic Fields of a specific request type. Adding translation can be done by using the Dynamic Forms configuration page.

Info

As any change in a request type is automatically saved and visible on the Customer Portal, we recommend to keep request forms Hidden from portal while modifying them.

Steps

  1. In Project Settings > Customer form extension, go to the desired request type and click the Add translations icon.
  2. Select the Language you want to translate to.
  3. Select the Request types which should be translated.
  4. Complete relevant terms in the following fields:
    • Display name
    • Field help
  5. Click Close. Changes are saved automatically.

Result

The Dynamic Fields of the selected request type are translated to the desired language. You can check how your translation is displayed on the Customer Portal.

Note

When the descriptions of the fields are longer and have to be collapsed, the Show more… button appears. It is automatically translated to one of the supported languages listed below.
