Global Settings

Learn how to use the global app settings

By accessing the Global settings section, you can easily configure the app globally.

Anonymized usage statistics

The Anonymized usage statistics option allows you to have a part in shaping further app development. When the process of gathering anonymized data related to the user interaction with Extension for Jira Service Management is enabled, you can play a role in enhancing the product’s features and your users’ efficiency.

Accessing configuration

To start configuring the app globally, you need to access the global configuration first.

Before you start, log in as a user with Jira Administrators project permissions. For more information, see Atlassian documentation.

Steps

  1. Navigate to the Manage apps screen.
  2. Click Global settings under the Extension for JSD section.

Result

You are redirected to the view with Global configuration where you can manage the settings concerning Data collection.

Managing anonymized usage statistics

It’s possible to manage the data collection settings anytime. Managing the settings won’t influence the app performance.

By default, the toggle next to Enable data collection is turned on and the process of collecting data is enabled.

To disable collecting anonymized data, turn off the toggle next to Enable data collection.
