Permissions
This chapter provides information about permissions required for certain actions.
Action | Permission name |

Create and edit templates | Browse Projects project permission, Create issues project permission and Edit issue project permission in the templates repository. This permission type is necessary for a new template to work properly. |
Change templates repository | Administer Jira global permissions |
Apply template | Browse Projects project permission in the templates repository to access the template. If issue-level security is configured, issue-level security permission to view the template. Create issues project permission in target projects if child issues or linked issues are created from templates. Access granted by an administrator - Visibility. |
Create issue from template | Browse Projects project permission in the templates repository to access the template. If issue-level security is configured, issue-level security permission to view the template. Create issues project permission in target projects. Access granted by an administrator - Visibility. |
Copy linked issues | This feature requires issue linking to be active. Browse Projects and Link issues project permission for the target project. |
Manage issue links (replace links to templates with correct ones) | Browse projects project permission in all projects from which linked issues originate. Link issues project permission for at least one of the projects where linked issues were created. If issue-level security is configured, permission to view both of the issues. |
