This page provides information on configuring Select Options Mapper.
Select Options Mapper custom field allows you to create mapping between other custom field’s value and text or group, user, project (all provided from dictionary).
It supports select, cascade select and Dynamic Select. For example, show a responsible person based on the selected department.
Warning
Select Options Mapper is a read-only custom field, so it should be added only to screens that are used for view issue. It won’t be visible on the Create screen.

To set a configuration, log in as a user with Jira Administrators global permission.
Adding custom fields
Before you start configuring fields you need to add custom fields provided by Dynamic Forms.
Navigate to Manage Apps > Dynamic Forms > Mapper
Click Add field or Add new field
You will be transferred to Jira Custom Fields tab, click Add custom field.
Choose Select Options Mapper from the list (in the advanced section) and click Next.
Configure the custom field according to your needs.
Example
Specify issue types and projects (recommended) or apply to all issues in all projects and click Create.
Associate the custom field to screens and click Update.
Result
When you go back to the Mapper tab in Dynamic Forms your custom field is present and you can configure it.
Field configuration
In Manage Apps > Dynamic Forms > Mapper you can configure the following options:
Linked select field / custom field - choose linked select field/custom field. See the list of supported fields.
Mapping value type - choose a type of value you want to insert (Text, Groups, Users, Projects)
Mapped value - insert value that will appear after selecting an option.
Result
Select Options Mapper is configured in Jira.
Next steps
To make sure that everything works properly, go to the Create Issue screen, choose an option you configured and check if a related field shows up.

Remember to add all configured fields and custom fields to the screen.
