Here you can read about the fields which are supported by Extension for Jira Service Management and relate to the Dynamic Forms feature.

Note
  • The Summary field can be used in your Dynamic Form only if it’s set as hidden. To learn more about the configuration of this field, navigate to the Add Dynamic Fields section.
  • Once you add new options to the Labels field which is set as dynamic, those options may not be visible within Dynamic Form right away due to Jira API limitations. You can display them once the sync process completes which may take up to 15 minutes.

*To use Assets objects it’s required to upgrade to the Premium Plan and establish your connection with the Assets API. To learn more, navigate to the Connect to Assets API section.

Note
  • The Text Field name is variable. By accessing Settings > Issues and navigating to Custom fields the configuration of text fields can be found under the following names: Paragraph (supports rich text) and Short text (plain text only).
  • By using Text Field (single line) and Text Field (multi-line) as Dynamic Field it’s possible to validate the field text based on complex criteria to match common text patterns like phone numbers and IP addresses thanks to the app’s Regex validator. To learn more about this feature, navigate to Configure Validators.
Warning

Due to current Jira Cloud limitations, the User Picker (single user) and User Picker (multiple users) fields work in Dynamic Forms with some restrictions. For customers, anonymous users, and unlicensed users from Jira Service Management, the Customer sharing permissions are not respected.

As a result, such customers and users:

  • can display all customers across the instance, regardless of the organization settings.
  • can display all customers across the instance and any user within the entire Jira instance, provided that their global User Picker permissions are granted.

By using the User Picker (single user) and User Picker (multiple users) fields in Dynamic Forms, it’s possible to search for users respecting Space permissions only.
