Discover how Electronic Signature works on the Customer portal
Before you start, log in as a user with the Jira Administrators global permission.
Electronic Signature’s main functions were designed for Jira internal issues but some features can be used on the Customer portal, too. You can add PDF reports as attachments or display the Electronic Signature custom field using another app.
Adding PDF snapshots as attachments
A PDF report containing the signatures given in Jira can be displayed as an attachment on the Customer portal. Learn how to set it up in the Configuration and PDF snapshots chapters.
Displaying the custom field on the Customer portal
Generally, the Electronic Signature custom field is only supported in Jira but there is a way of displaying it on the transition screen of the Customer portal. Another Deviniti app - Actions for Jira Service Management - allows for displaying the field on the transition screen right from Request details view.
